  1. With a couple of kids and a scientist husband, I loved this on so many levels! Hilarious! And sadly, true.

  2. So So funny! My dad always says parenting is an experiment with one subject and no control group!

  3. Fabulous comparison! I bet the pay is better for a scientist though; I’m not making any money with this parenting schtick.

    • Norine Dworkin-McDaniel :

Damn, I was hoping that if I stuck with it, eventually I’d get a pay raise. No such luck, huh??

  4. That’s great! Not being scientifically inclined AT ALL I’ll have to take your word that it correlates but I still think it’s funny :P
Thanks for hooking up to the Hump Day Hook Up!

  5. Sadly, that is all so very true! Especially the last one!

  6. This is brilliant! So refreshing to find that perfect mix of intelligence and humor- you are the perfect blog cocktail, in my opinion! So perfectly Pin-able!

    • Norine Dworkin-McDaniel :

Wow! Thank you!!! You just made our weekend! We actually have a book prop circulating. Could we quote you???

  7. {Melinda} As usual, LOVE this, you are spot on in every instance. :) Pinning this!

  8. This is so true! Although I’m not technically a scientist, I am an academia escapee. And I cannot agree more!

    • Norine Dworkin-McDaniel :

HaHaHa! Thanks! I escaped after my masters. You went the distance! Glad it rings true!

  9. Brilliant! So funny and so true! Sharing and pinning!

  10. hahahaha “egomaniacs” TOO TRUE. As always, totally hilarious!
Thanks for stopping by the blog hop!

  11. this is great. LOVE IT…and SO TRUE!

  12. Oh, so true!

  13. I love this post. I couldn’t agree more.

  14. I agree! And now I know I’m a parent AND a scientist! (A MAD scientist, perhaps, but a scientist, nonetheless!

    • Norine Dworkin-McDaniel :

Ha! I think we’ve all got a bit of mad scientist in us. Otherwise, we’d go crazy!

  15. Fantastic! I never thought of myself as the scientific type, but clearly I’m overdue for a lab coat.

    • Norine Dworkin-McDaniel :

You know, we may have to add lab coats to our products in our store. Right now we’ve just got magnets, calendars and coffee cups. But lab coats … I think every mama needs one. Plus, wouldn’t it be great for those surprise spit ups and/or vomits? You may be on to something there!

  16. In addition to being funny this is true. Enjoy your SITS Day.
