  1. We are putting our daughter in a Charter School that doesn’t give homework…through 8th grade! Finally an institution that gets it! Their academic day is rigorous and an hour longer…but that’s specifically so they can go home and be kids!

That’s a wonderful plan! Our Montessori school doesn’t give a lot of homework — usually just reading for 30-60 min a night and some math problems. But still … every so often there’s a project that’s due. And slogging through that is uphill … on my knees … through shards of broken glass. Every time.

  2. This is awesome! And so true. The math, I crumble under the pressure of the math :(

  3. This hits WAY too close to home.

My girl spends hours doing homework and well, I am too dumb to help. The stuff kids study and are strapped with these days is just waaaaay over my head.

And I gotta admit, I’m kinda glad. =)

  4. Haha, sounds like you could use the “Procrastination Sucker Punch” Mommy Merit Badge from my post this week… I bet you’ve earned a few more, too! This is so cute and funny. Dropping by from The SITS Girls link up, and I’ll definitely have to check back again!

OMG! LOVE those badges! I pinned the Procrastination Sucker Punch to our Homework is Hell board! Thanks so much. These are awesome!

  5. I think I need to post this pic on the refrigerator. When did homework become so burdensome? It makes me long for summer break and that’s saying a lot since the trade off is they’re all home.
